I painted this for art class - it took a long time, but was actually fun. Re-coloured from the original, obviously, to make Felix Phillips into Kira. And I only painted Ryuk and Gelus because I ran out of time... I think it still look good.
The Original is kind of big. Obviously it won't fit in my scanner.
wow, creepy!
I don't know what this is from but it looks nice.
although, I think the guy's eyes (The purple hair ones) need shading underneath and above so they don't look pasted on the face. I mean, if you're going for a more realistic comic stylized look. it's pretty sweet though.
no prob. I did a lot of paintings like that in high school.
You should consider oil paint if you're looking for smooth blends. It takes a little while to get used to, but it is AWESOME to make trasitions.
so is this not the original?
I love the rib cage thingy.
yeah, oils can make people look a million times more skilled. I knew two girls who used oil paints and I though "oh they use them cause they're a lot better" turns out they were shite with acrylic and oil just made their work look better. XD
you should do a test piece or something, or go over and unwanted piece in acrylic with oil. The one thing that takes getting used to is the drying time, but once you get over that it becomes your friend (unless you're carting it back and forth from home and school, then you hate everything.... XD)
